The ninth episode of “work. learn. live. (Connecticut) focuses on an unprecedented workforce challenge never experienced in our states history. Nationwide there are 80 million baby boomers and only 40 million generation X and Y individuals, that’s a gap of almost 40 million people that companies are going to have to solve for. Additionally in Connecticut there has been a huge out migration of 18-34 years old while a third of the population is made up of baby-boomers nearing retirement. This episode examines what needs to be done to bridge the gap and keep Connecticut companies competitive on a global scale.
