Able Lives Episode 1: Disabilities/Who We Are
 
Episode one covers the kind of disabilities that exist, the evolution of language surrounding the word "disability," and the story of the Disability Movement. This episode also features behind-the-scenes footage of auditions that were held at the CPTV Studio in Hartford, Conn., to select the series' hosts. Anthony J. Dennis of South Windsor, Conn., and Therese A. Nadeau of Glastonbury, Conn., were chosen to host Episode one and will introduce each of the topics covered.

Able Lives is a 10-part series that focuses on disabilities as they relate to family (marriage, children, personal assistants and other aspects of family life); access (housing, transportation, emergency preparedness and facilities); culture; work (self-determination); social aspects; education (early development, inclusion); and science.
